Welcome back 8 Orange.

Some of you have still not sent me your url’s to say you have completed last weeks work — as this is only the start of our blogging I will assume you are unsure of how to “send’ me the information.

The task for Week 7, 15th June 2006 is:

Complete the  “creative account” of the Speech assessment task  you began in your journals. Then publish it in your blog !! and email me so I can comment !!!

Remember to be as creative as you can (reality is soooooo boring) and to include points or paragraphs about  the speech process from the time you heard that the had to write a speech to the moments before, during and after the speech. 

This work is due by next Thursday when a new task will be published !! Keep on top of the work before it gets on top of you !!

Congratulations on starting your blogs !!

Your first entry (post) is to copy the speech you made in class onto the blog then email me with your URL when you have finished.

You must complete this task by next Thursday 15th June Period 1.

The second task will appear on the 15th and you will again have one week to complete it.

“BLOG AWAY” — TECHNOLOGY IN ENGLISH WRITING TASK 2006

THE TASK:
Create a WEBLOG in which to explore different types of writing and issues that concern you. You may at times be set topics and ideas with which to begin writing.
This is not a diary – it is an electronic journal in which you will practice your writing skills.

BEFORE YOU START — THE RULES:

The rules are as follows — refer to the page Blogging Guidelines for more details.

1) Do not “bag out”, or speak badly of friends, parents, staff, the school etc….
2) Use your time wisely – class lessons are for completing classwork not other things.
3) All work must be original – do not copy from friends or internet sites – this is PLAGIARISM.
4) All blogs must be typed in English.
5) Use your common sense and use language that is appropriate !!

1) Remember that your blog WILL be read by members of the school, community, parents and friends. Do not write things that will get you into trouble !!!
2) The blog is on the World Wide Web and can therefore be read by people outside of the school and on the other side of the world.
3) Make your blog pretty but don’t go overboard – content and quality is more important than “pretty”
